Caroline Vye

Life is about balance: letting go, holding on, and finding strength and flexibility in the ebb and flow.  It is about finding peace, living in harmony, and taking time to open up and breathe.

Hi!  I'm Caroline, and I am a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac), Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCMP), and Registered Bioenergetic Intolerance Elimination Practitioner (R.BIE).  I graduated from the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, one of the top schools in Ontario with an Advanced Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the highest level of education available in Canada.

Chinese Medicine is a second career for me though.  First, I graduated with a BA in Applied Linguistics, after which I worked providing speech therapy to developmentally delayed adults, and preschoolers with and without developmental disabilities.  During this time, I met an acupuncturist (who later became my mentor) who, through Chinese Medicine challenged the way I thought of health and healing.  He inspired me so much that I switched careers!

Aside from completing an advanced TCM program, I have also taken the Contemporary Acupuncture Course through McMaster University, which focuses on relieving pain through stimulating the nervous system using leading acupuncture techniques.  And my most recent area of study has been Bioenergetic Intolerance Elimination (BIE), where I can use my background in the theories and fundamentals of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine to balance the body in a novel way.

Within the educational realm, both during and after school, my love for organizing and analyzing information led me to work with multiple teachers writing and editing their journal articles and textbooks. As a senior student and new graduate I worked as a clinical supervisor in a school setting and at Dorothy Ley Hospice.  And as a new graduate I worked as an editor, blogger and content writer at The Canadian Gynecology Institute of Chinese Medicine.  Since then, I've run seminars and workshops within the community and have been a guest speaker at a Google headquarters event in Toronto.  Please contact me if you would like me to speak at your workplace, community venue or educational event.

Other than that, I love learning and I love books.  Have a book you love Please share!  I love learning about makes us humans tick, about different ways of growing and interacting, and about neurology and neuroplasticity.  Whatever takes a deeper dive into understanding adaptability, changeability and the healing potential of the body, mind, soul, and spirit.  And cats, I love cats too.

I'm always looking for new and exciting opportunities, let's connect!
